The seven face shapes explained

By TQ Tech

MyFaceShape classifies seven common face shapes. Your exact label depends on the balance of forehead width, cheekbone width, jaw width, and face length.

Oval

Forehead and jaw are similar in width; face length is greater than width. Often considered versatile for hairstyles.

Round

Width and length are close; softer angles with fuller cheeks and a rounded jaw.

Square

Strong jaw and forehead with similar width; angular corners at the jaw.

Heart

Wider forehead and cheek area tapering to a narrower chin.

Diamond

Narrow forehead and chin with the widest point at the cheekbones.

Oblong (rectangular)

Longer face with forehead, cheekbones, and jaw fairly aligned in width.

Triangle

Narrower forehead with a wider jaw and stronger lower face.
