Privacy Policy
MyFaceShape ("we", "our", or "the app") helps you discover your face shape and get personalized styling guidance. This policy explains what information is processed when you use the app and how we protect it.
1. Information we process
Face photos. When you take a selfie with the camera or choose a photo from your library, a compressed copy of that image is sent over HTTPS to our secure backend (a Cloudflare Worker) so a third-party AI service can analyze facial proportions, estimate your face shape, and generate ratings and styling tips. Photos are processed to deliver your analysis and are not stored long-term on our servers after the request completes.
Optional gender preference. If you select a gender preference during onboarding, it may be sent with analysis requests so styling recommendations (for example hairstyles or grooming tips) can be tailored. This preference is also stored locally on your device.
Anonymous device identifier. A random UUID stored on your device (Keychain / UserDefaults) is sent with analysis requests to enforce the free-scan limit and rate limits. It is not your name, email, or Apple ID.
Purchase information. Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to verify MyFaceShape Pro entitlement status. We do not receive your payment card details.
Local data on your device. Scan history thumbnails and results, routine progress, theme preference, and onboarding answers are stored locally on your iPhone (including SwiftData). This data does not leave your device unless you back up your phone through Apple.
Notifications. If you enable routine reminders, Apple’s local notification system schedules alerts on your device. Reminder content stays on your iPhone.
2. What we do not collect
- No account registration or email is required to use the app
- No advertising trackers or third-party ad SDKs
- We do not sell your personal information
- We do not maintain a long-term archive of your face photos on our servers
- We do not use your photos for facial recognition to identify you as a person, biometric authentication, or law-enforcement matching
3. How AI face analysis works
Your selected photo is sent over HTTPS to our Cloudflare Worker API, which forwards a processing request to a third-party AI provider (via OpenRouter) to estimate face shape, confidence, measurements, ratings, and styling tips. The request includes the image needed for analysis, your anonymous device ID for rate limiting, Pro status for quota checks, and optional gender preference. It is not linked to your name, email, or Apple ID. After the analysis response is returned to the app, we do not keep your photo in long-term server storage.
AI results are estimates for entertainment and personal styling guidance. They are not medical, dermatological, or identity verification advice.
4. Camera & photo library access
The app uses your camera and Apple’s photo picker only when you choose to scan. You select a specific image; we do not scan your entire photo library in the background. You can crop before analysis. Access can be denied or revoked anytime in iOS Settings.

- Photo library (save): “Save your face rating card to Photos so you can keep or share it.”
5. Subscriptions & purchases
MyFaceShape Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription purchased through the App Store. Apple processes payment. We only receive entitlement status needed to unlock Pro features (such as unlimited scans and full analysis details). Manage or cancel subscriptions in iPhone Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions.
6. Data retention
Server-side rate-limit and free-scan counters are stored temporarily in Cloudflare KV and linked only to your anonymous device ID. Face photos are not retained as a long-term server archive after analysis completes. History and preferences on your device remain until you delete them in-app or uninstall the app.
7. Children's privacy
MyFaceShape is rated 4+ and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete any related server-side identifiers we control.
8. Your rights
Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. Because we use minimal identifiers, deleting the app and clearing local data removes most information associated with your use. For subscription billing records, manage your account through Apple.
9. International users
Our backend and AI service providers may process data in the United States and other countries where they operate. By using the app, you understand this processing is necessary to deliver face analysis.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. We will revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
